He IS the best Eagle's QB ever. And I would much rather have a guy take some sacks and have a 59% completion rating than throw a million picks. As far as the McNabb injury, keep in mind that the Birds are actually 14-10 when McNabb doesn't play, and though everyone seems to hate him because he can't win a NFC Championship game, he has gone to five of them and is the best QB the Eagle's have ever had. Not to mention only one injury (if you understand the game) can really be accounted to his lack of conditioning, which would be the ACL. He conditioned too hard after the hernia injury but did not build his core properly, which causes weakness around the knees. No athlete of his caliber blows his ACL the way he did without this. I've done the same thing (back in high school) minus the ACL tear, replace with an MCL sprain. If you don't believe me, go back and look at his injuries and how many involve either a 320lb lineman falling on him, or a 300+ lb defensmen hitting him late or illegal. Just thought I'd pass my opinion out there =) This link passes a lot of knowledge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donovan_McNabb [ Edited Wed Sep 16 2009, 11:30PM ]

Again, it is merely my opinion that too many people hate him :) The rebuilding year shouldn't happen if you have a good young QB in the wings, but, this is Andy Reid we are talking about, and as many great things as he has done for the Organization as well, if anyone was to go, it should be him. New Coach with a new system and a new quarterback is a thing of lore, though recently one could argue that isn't such a bad thing ;o
